Hi to all of our great friends at RIDE-AFRICA.
We hope that you are all doing great. Sarah and I are having a great summer. We are working now in the summer and in the fall, we will start the university again.
In this email, we have attached our internship reports (better late than never). Underneath in this email, we have composed a text which you can publish on your website from the both of us where we shortly explain our stay with RIDE-AFRICA with the purpose of helping to draw more interns to the organization.
We are two students from the University of Gothenburg studying Global Studies and International Relations who has done our internship at RIDE-AFRICA.
We believe that our internship at RIDE-AFRICA has given us irreplaceable experiences regarding the lives of people living in the rural communities in Uganda. Though we read a lot about poverty and its causes and effects, it is completely different seeing it firsthand. Our internship at RIDE-AFRICA has strengthened our aspiration to work with human rights and development in third world countries. Never before have we felt the way we did when we had children running in to our arms, sincerely happy to meet us. Never before have we had women thanking us for being in the community and actually caring. Never before have we had men asking us to do everything we can to make the world care more about them and their families. Being an intern at RIDE-AFRICA is something that we will value forever, seeing their genuine commitment to helping people has inspired us in ways we cannot even begin to explain. For this we owe them very much.

Best wishes and lots of love,
Elin and Sarah
